I am proud to announce my candidacy as a Republican for Sheriff of Citrus County in 2020, and respectfully request the support of our local Veterans, young adults, senior citizens and our diverse minority community.

I consider myself a conservative, and have been a registered voter for my entire adult life. Although I am a registered Republican, I want to hear the voices of ALL of our citizens, not from just one political party. I want to work for the people and to keep politics out of this important position.

My PLEDGE and PRIORITIES as your Sheriff will be the:

  • Safety of our Children, our Citizens, our Community and Improvement to School Safety
  • Establishment of a confidential Narcotic and Highway Interdiction Unit
  • Increase in investigations of opioid traffickers, street level dealers and opioid abusers
  • The submittal of a transparent budget based on actual needs, saving taxpayers money
  • Introduction of a competitive salary scale to decrease employee loss
  • Development of a career development program to assure equal promotion opportunities
  • Initiation of a fair and equal discipline process based on FDLE standards
  • Appointment of a labor relations board to allow for Union representation
  • United States Army (1981-2013): Military Police; Served in a multitude of demanding positions, culminating with the selection to Command Sergeant Major
  • Pasco County Sheriff’s Office (1978-1981): Cadet Advisor;

  • New York City, Housing Police Department (1984) : Patrol Officer
  • Crystal River Police (1987 -2004) : Sergeant
    assigned to drug task force; Support Services Lieutenant
